The gift voucher list: If you're moving soon, or you'd like a longer time to choose, or you're after a larger item, why not ask for gift vouchers instead? We'll keep a record of everyone who chooses to give them, so you won't miss anyone off your thank you list.
 

The holiday of a lifetime list: If you're planning a honeymoon or a holiday celebrating a special occasion, you can also invite friends and family to contribute to this wonderful experience. Our selected travel provider Kuoni can help craft your perfect holiday as well as accept contributions towards it. The Charity List in aid of Cancer Research UK: Why not offer your guests the option of donating to charity and give them the choice of gift to include a donation? All gift list holders can choose the option of donating to Cancer Research UK as part of their gift list. All donations raised will go towards supporting the work of Cancer Research UK. Charity donations can form the whole of your gift list, or be offered as additional options on top of John Lewis products or gift vouchers. Just let us know if you'd like to add charity donations to your gift list.

Step 1 - Register for your list
Registering is free and easy - simply go online, pop into or call your local shop. Registration is not available in our at home shops, with the exception of Chester and Ipswich. When you register in-store, you'll be introduced to an advisor who'll talk you through how the list works and explain all our specialist services.
 

Step 2 - The fun part
The best time to choose your gifts is 8 weeks before your wedding or event. All you do is come into the Gift List department to collect your scanner, then browse the shop from top to bottom. If you're making a day of it, how about taking a break with a beauty makeover, a lingerie fitting appointment or some expert fashion advice?
We'll give you a voucher for tea and cake too, so you'll have plenty of time to relax while you mull over your choices. Remember to let us know if you'd like honeymoon{C} or gift voucher options added to your list. And if you prefer, you can go online to compile your list instead.
 

Step 3 - Change your mind
You can change your mind at any time before or even after your gift list has opened. Edit your list online, or let us know as soon as you can and we'll remove and organise substitute items.
 

Step 4 - Tell your guests
The list opens to all your guests 6 weeks before your wedding or event. If you'd like inserts with list details, we can give you plenty to send out, or you can simply print your unique gift list number on your invitations. Your guests can buy gifts in any one of our shops, online or over the phone on 0345 600 2202, adding their personalised messages. (Please refer to your service provider for call charges.)
 

Step 5 - We deliver
We'll deliver your gifts free, at a time convenient to you - simply speak to an advisor to agree a date. If you want to include a few gifts for your honeymoon we can deliver those earlier, so of course they'll need to be bought in time to reach you before you leave. Once your list closes you have an opportunity to buy from it yourselves - to be delivered free with everything else.
 

Step 6 - Thank you
We'll give you a list of who bought what so you can make sure you thank the right person for the right gift. You can also check progress online whenever you like, to make it as easy as possible to keep track of your list.
