The Athenaeum

The Athenaeum is able to provide small intimate weddings from 60 people, to larger weddings for 110 sitting guests.

The building can also be hired for part or all your wedding, from your wedding vows, wedding reception and evening function.

The Athenaeum building features a suite of stunning room settings unlike any other, each with their own 
Wedding ceremony in the Library (60 guests)
Wedding Ceremony in the Newsroom (110 guests)
Wedding Breakfast in Dining Room (110 guests)
Round table: All White Linen (10 guests)
Evening Function: Newsroom with dance floor and facilities for “live” music (150 guests)  

Extended Licensed Bar Extended bar license available with fully stocked bar available. Should you have a special drinks request, we can facilitate these on a sale and return basis. Please note there is a corkage fee for supplying your own wine or beverages. 

 Exquisite & Personal Catering .The Athenaeum is famous for its exceptional food and can provide all your catering needs. We can suggest menus for formal breakfast, suppers, buffets canapés. Working with our Chef, we also provide you with the option of designing your own Wedding. Please note this is costed accordingly.
