Maria is professionally trained, having worked as a pastry chef at the Royal Garden Hotel for a number of years, where she met her husband, now an executive chef at a 5 star hotel on London’s Park Lane

She began to pursue her dream of designing and creating wedding cakes by literally walking into Harrods and asking them for a job! She supplied wedding cakes there for many years… until a chance meeting at the school gates with Catherine, a cake designer from Maidstone, well renowned for making wedding cakes at the exclusive Chilston Park Hotel.

Catherine also has a fantastic flair and creative talent and works to the same exacting high standards, without compromise. After being friends for 12 years they formed an exciting partnership Creative Cakes.
